Introducing California Restaurant Month, a statewide celebration of special savings traditionally offered this time of year. To commemorate, some of our members have created special lunch or dinner packages for you to enjoy. These offers are valid any day of the week from January 1 through January 31, 2010 only.
- Callaway Winery’s Meritage Restaurant will be offering Tapas & Tasting to tantilize your taste buds. Enjoy two tapas pairied with Callaway’s award winning wine for only $20! Two tapas too many? - At Falkner Winery’s The Pinnacle Restaurant celebrate CA Restaurant Month with a special lunch offering consisting of a choice of appetizer, entrée, and non-alcoholic beverage for only $20 per person. Some of the menu options include Fresh Asparagus wrapped in prosciutto; Chef Gianni’s popular Mushroom Trio Soup, Poblano Beef Sandwich with pepper-jack cheese; and Salmon Borghese consisting of pan-sautéed salmon filets served over saffron Orzo rice Pilaf topped with a fresh tomato white truffle oil sauce. - South Coast Winery Resort & Spa’s Vineyard Rose Restaurant has created some very special lunch and dinner options at very special prices for your enjoyment Sundays through Thursdays during the month of January. Enjoy a two course lunch for only $15 per person and a three course dinner for only $30 per person. Guest can chose from their Vineyard Rose Chicken Caesar Salad, Tuna & Garden Melt or the Beef Dip Sandwich and the soup of the day for lunch and a dessert for lunch. For Dinner, guest may order a soup of the day or one of two salads followed by an entree like their yummy Capellini Pomodoro, Double Cut Bone-In Pork Chop or Lemon-Oregano Roast Shelton Farms Chicken. - The Restaurant at Ponte Family Estate has created a prix-fixe lunch or dinner menu just for California Wine Month.
- $15 Prix-Fixe Lunch (Two Courses): Farmer’s Salad with local baby greens, avocado, goat cheese, tomato, onion, cucumber; followed by Rigatoni pasta with Duck Bolognese and shaved Pecorino
- $25 Prix-Fixe Dinner (Three Courses): Farmer’s Salad with local baby greens, avocado, goat cheese, tomato, onion, cucumber; Bistro Filet featuring Bistro cut top sirloin, pommes Aligot, baby vegetables and a red wine jus; and Chocolate Whoopee pie with a cold glass of milk
- The Creekside Grill at Wilson Creek is offering a Choose Your Own appetizer and creek specialty which will be served with your choice of a non-alcoholic beverage for only $22. Appetizer Selections Include : Greek Calamari, Fried Mozzarella Burrata, Hummus or Rosie’s Homemade soup. Creek Speciality Selections Include: Duck Leg Confit, Pan Roasted Wild Mahi Mahi, Braised Veal Short Rib or Gnocchi.
- The famed Cafe Champagne at Thornton Winery is offering a lunch special for just $15, which includes Sausage Linguini and a Chocolate Fudge Brownie. Their dinner special includes Chicken Asparagus Risotto with Tomato Confit and shaved Parmesan and is followed with house-made Tirimisu for dessert. All Thornton wines by the bottle are being offered at 50% off.
In addition to special prix-fixe menus, all Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association winery members will be offering a complimentary tasting Monday-Thursday to any service industry employee (bartenders, servers, sommeliers, etc.) when they present a business card or pay stub from their restaurant. This special offer is to celebrate California Restaurant Month and to encourage the hard-working men and women in the restaurant business to come out to Temecula and enjoy a flight – free of charge!
